Frequently Asked Questions

What is this site all about?
Hottypo.com helps you find those particular auctions on eBay that have been misspelled and contain a typo. These auctions are hard to find since they do not usually come up in the results when a user does a regular search. Most of the time these auctions end at much lower prices then correctly spelled auctions. The sellers' loss could be your win!

How do I use this thing?
Easy! Just type in your search team in the search box above. Just type the word as you would normally, no need to include any typos or anything special. Click search and let Hottypo.com do it's magic!

If you would rather watch a short video on how to use the various parts of Hottypo.com check out our video on YouTube:

Can I edit the typos generated?
Of course! Once you are on the search results pages you will notice a number of orange boxes with an 'x' on the right side of them. To remove typos just click the 'x' or place your cursor in the white box at the end and you use your 'escape' key just like you would when erasing any other word. To add your own typos place your cursos in the white box in the end and type any typos you wish. Once you are done, don't forget to click the 'Update Results' to refresh your results.

What do I do with the results that come on the screen?
Once you search for something you are provided with a seperate screen containing the results. We tend to only show the first few results as most of the time we end up finding thousdans upon thousands of listings. Just click the link in big letters that reads "View all listings..." to take you to the eBay website to view all the listings found.

Can you add XYZ feature to the site?
You have an idea you want us to add? That's great! The easiest thing to do is suggest it in our feedback page. You may also contact us directly by e-mailing admin@hottypo.com
