Hockey Cards on eBay

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

Are you looking for cheap hockey cards you can purchase and collect? When I was little various cards were favorites among kids my age to collect and trade with one another. Things don’t change much when you get older as you witness many older folks still purchasing, trading and collecting hockey cards. Some of these cards can be so hard to find, and also very expensive, which make places like eBay great places to look for cheap hockey cards. Being from Canada one knows how popular some cards as Sidney Crosby’s, Joe Sakic, Alexander Ovechkin and many other hockey cards can be. Other countires that are big into hockey cards include the United States and Sweeden. The reason for this is obviously because these countries also hold many professional hockey leagues.

Read more books on the Kindle

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

In todays crazy and hectic world reading can be good. We have become so technologically advanced though that gone are the days that we need to carry our favourite book with us on our way to work on the subway, and then realize half-way there that we are no longer in the mood to read Tom Sawyer, but instead we are in the mood to read Hackelberry Finn.  A decade or so ago we would have no choice but to suck it up and just be forced to read Tom Sawyer. Not in 2009 though, no sir!

For those of you not in the know how, we present you the Amazon’s Kindle! It is described as an e-Book reader for on the go. (more…)

Grab yourself a MacBook

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

Summer is quickly coming to an end that for all those of us that are still in the academic world that means another fun filled year of learning begins! With that in mind, most students who are just starting university life will be looking for a laptop of some sort to carry to class and around campus.  Laptops come in all sizes and shapes and depending on your needs and work demands one might be better suited then another. If there was one laptop that we could recommend to anybody though, one that would encompass and exceed everybody’s needs would be the MacBook, by Apple.

One of the big complaints though that we hear about Macbooks are that they can be a tad bit expensive. And they can, especially if you are on a student budget. One place that we do recommend for you to check out to shave a few hundred dollars of the final bill is eBay! The first thing you should do is look for auctions with typos and mispellings of course, these auctions may double your savings in some cases. Just head over to our homepage and play around with our typo search servie.

Get your iPhone for cheaper on eBay

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

You would have to have lived under a rock if you have not heard and witnessed the craze of Apple’s smart phone. They released the iPhone 3G last year in July and another model yet again this July in 2009, the iPhone 3GS. The difference are minor, among them the most important new features include: bigger memory (play games without lag, finally), better network speeds (you can download those apps, songs and youtube videos way faster) and you can finally film videos with the new camera.

If you fancy one of these new toys, there is an alternative to buying your brand new spanking iPhone (3G or 3Gs) from your carrier and not being tied down to any contract whatsoever.

Casual gaming on the Nintendo DS and DSi

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Let’s face it, we all need that time during the week (or month when we are busy) when we can just sit back and take our mind off things and relax. As you have grown older you may have found that it gets more difficult for you to get into video games and have found that you lose patience with them very quickly. Does that mean that folks like us should just forget about video games all together? Thankfully we do not.

Nintedo has come up with a fun gaming handheld device that is built around the very idea of casual and interactive gaming: the Nintendo DS.

Nintendo DS platform provides a casual and interactive experience to many non-gamers

You don’t need to have dozens of hours to kill in order to play a video game and enjoy it, all you need are a few minutes to spare and you can have a blast. By using a stylus you are no longer restricted to using  convenional left, right, backward, forward buttons, but instead you touch the screen with your stylus which tends to be a lot more practical and natural to people that are not hardcore gamers. Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Taking a look at the number of times Hottypo.com users have searched for Playstation 3 alone tells us how popular this gaming console is among people of all ages throughout the world. The only complaint that we have found out towards the PS3 so far is the price tag! One way to find a good deal for this next generation gaming console is to of course hunt for Playstation 3 listings that contain misspelling on eBay. If you haven’t gotten lucky by finding a listing with typos for the PS3 and you don’t want to wait, we have great news for you. (more…)

Lunch time deals on eBay

Monday, July 13th, 2009

What’s lunch time like at your workplace? Most people think of lunchtime as a time for most employees to do what the phrase itself hints, eat lunch! The truth is that most employees use this free time to eat lunch but at the same time multi task a number of other tasks, such as shop on eBay!

It seems to be a growing trend on eBay, and more and more sellers are figuring out the cool day to post new items is no longer Sunday night, but lunch time. The great thing for the sellers is that lunch repeats itself five days a week (well seven days a week, but we are only interested in five since those are the days most people work).

eBay has some great deals during the lunch hours

A lot of the time eBay stores that are specialized electronics that are in high demand such as “ipod touch“, “playstation 3“, “xbox 360“, “iphone” and “blackberrys” tend to have some generous lunch time specials on eBay!

Get Windows 7 for free

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

I am sure a lot of you may have heard the news that until July 11 Microsoft is selling Windows 7 (the new OS from them, after Vista) for 49.99.

Here’s what I had in mind if you are looking to upgrade to Windows 7 anyways but don’t want to spend much money: buy two copies right now at $49.99, one for you and one to sell on eBay after the early bird sale is over. Chances are prices will be at least double that on eBay by the time we get close to the release date of Windows 7. But before you go ahead and do that, don’t forget to search for typos of Windows 7 on eBay.

Let us know what typos you end up finding in the comments!
