HOT classical music deal on iTunes

Monday, October 26th, 2009

iTunes is having a great sale on an amazing classical music collection. I have personally not have had the chance to listen to much classical music but have always wanted to dive into it, and this is a great opportunity for folks like me, as much as it is for classical music lovers.

The collection is titled 111 Years of Deutsche Grammophon. DG (Deutsche Grammophon) is held as the top label for classical music, so you are not jeopardizing quality.

So what is the deal really? 720 songs,  ~6GB worth of music for $9.99! A quick search on Amazon tells you how much this stuff is really worth…The only restriction is that as of now this is only available on the Canadian store (if your american and feel left out try searching for eBay for typos using our search bar at the top, those classical music composers do have unbelievable long name usually, and you know that is a great recede for a typo).

Taking a look at the number of times Hottypo.com users have searched for Playstation 3 alone tells us how popular this gaming console is among people of all ages throughout the world. The only complaint that we have found out towards the PS3 so far is the price tag! One way to find a good deal for this next generation gaming console is to of course hunt for Playstation 3 listings that contain misspelling on eBay. If you haven’t gotten lucky by finding a listing with typos for the PS3 and you don’t want to wait, we have great news for you. (more…)

Lunch time deals on eBay

Monday, July 13th, 2009

What’s lunch time like at your workplace? Most people think of lunchtime as a time for most employees to do what the phrase itself hints, eat lunch! The truth is that most employees use this free time to eat lunch but at the same time multi task a number of other tasks, such as shop on eBay!

It seems to be a growing trend on eBay, and more and more sellers are figuring out the cool day to post new items is no longer Sunday night, but lunch time. The great thing for the sellers is that lunch repeats itself five days a week (well seven days a week, but we are only interested in five since those are the days most people work).

eBay has some great deals during the lunch hours

A lot of the time eBay stores that are specialized electronics that are in high demand such as “ipod touch“, “playstation 3“, “xbox 360“, “iphone” and “blackberrys” tend to have some generous lunch time specials on eBay!

Get Windows 7 for free

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

I am sure a lot of you may have heard the news that until July 11 Microsoft is selling Windows 7 (the new OS from them, after Vista) for 49.99.

Here’s what I had in mind if you are looking to upgrade to Windows 7 anyways but don’t want to spend much money: buy two copies right now at $49.99, one for you and one to sell on eBay after the early bird sale is over. Chances are prices will be at least double that on eBay by the time we get close to the release date of Windows 7. But before you go ahead and do that, don’t forget to search for typos of Windows 7 on eBay.

Let us know what typos you end up finding in the comments!

eBay daily deals

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

What is it? It’s a great way for you to find incredible deals from poular online retailers. Think of it as an ongoing sale by the top online giants.

Taken straight from the eBay page:

Every day we feature an item from one of our trusted sellers that is deeply discounted (usually between 20% and 90% off) and offers free shipping. The only catch is that we have limited quantities of these fixed-price items, and at these great prices, they won’t last long. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Since this is a “daily” deal, we update the deal at least once a day.

Top ways of finding great deals for jewelry

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Let’s face it, finding great looking jewelry at great prices is hard! With online marketplaces booming all over the place though, there are many cheaper alternatives that were not available to consumers before. In this post we will share just a few online hot spots where you can manage to find a bargain or two if you are looking for jewelry:

eBay.com – for a long time eBay has been the one and only marketplace for anyone that ever bothered to sell anything online. They have millions of sellers worldwide, offering millions of auctions for you to choose from. The problem with eBay is since there so much demand prices only rarely beat the ones offline. The trick to finding great bargains for jewelry online is to look for misspelled auctions. These auctions hardly receive any bids since no one can find them (there is a typo in the title) and most of the time end at extremely low prices leaving you with an amazing bargain.

Take for example the word diamond. A simple search on hottypo.com revealed that there are about 600 auctions with a typos variation of the word diamond (they either hit the wrong letter, forgot one letter etc). Try it yourself with your favorite jewelry and let us know in the comments what kind of bargains you find.
